A poem on the “Sheriff’s Children”
As the thoughts dwindle in my mind
I find that there is not enough time.
My decision should be Clear and straight
But it’s something I just can’t make.
Although he is my son
I am not happy with what he has done
Should I be the one that ends his life?
Could I live with that and survive
The absence of him could make me stronger
But could I endure how much longer
So the question at hand slowly becomes
Should I be the one to tighten the knot?

I like it. Some good phrasing, but the strength lies in the content.
